A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

CHRISTMAS NIGHT WITH THE STARS 1964 - THE LIKELY LADS...
Here's a 1964 clip featuring The LIKELY LADS. And guess what? It's got a comic strip theme, so isn't that apt though but? (As the lads themselves would say.)

And the final episode was broadcast exactly ten years later on Christmas Eve 1974. Continuing from the previous comment, Kid - I'm really surprised that the orange cream line only appears in the film...I'd been expecting you to confirm it came from the TV show and even to tell me the exact episode (only joking). And yes, you did include it in a previous post. I could swear it was Terry who originally said the line though...my muddled memory perhaps.
There may well have been a similar line, CJ, but that version of it was only in the movie - as far as I remember anyway. I wouldn't bet my comics collection on it 'though. Terry adds his own take on the line later on in the film, as they're getting into the car to go for their weekend away with the girls.
