I remember buying X-MEN #49
(below) as a kid and being fascinated by
the figure of JEAN GRAY on the cover.
Although The ANGEL is arguably far more
prominent, I still find my gaze being drawn
exclusively to Jean. Now she's what I call
a babe. So the cover-cutie is today's gift
of womanly wonder - enjoy!

I loved the figures on this cover and all of Steranko's covers really. I'd trace them and got good enough at my "tracing" that other kids wanted me to do some for them. I have fragmented memories of doing the Angel, Nick Fury and Captain America.
Rip Off
The Beast's position looks a little suspect to me, RJ. His left leg shouldn't be in view where it is, based on the way his waist is bent. His Marvel Girl sure rings my bell though.
But she's standing rather awkwardly - wouldn't she topple over?
She's not standing, CJ, she's running - so the force of her momentum keeps her upright.
