NO LAUGHING IN HEAVEN...

Back in 1981, a pal bought IAN GILLAN's then-new album, FUTURE SHOCK, and played this track all the time.  I actually quite like it, but wish that JIM REEVES had still been around to record it.  Anyway, here's Ian (you'll be glad to know) - though his lip-syncing leaves a lot to be desired.  (Update 2026: Dedicated to the late Joe, who, hopefully, is laughing in Heaven.)

BABE Of The DAY - JORDAN CARVER...

JORDAN CARVER is clearly looking
forward to the forthcoming Dr. STRANGE
film, going by her imitation of the Doc's hand
gesture (as drawn by STEVE DITKO) when
casting a spell.  Incidentally, my top reads "I
woke up next to this" (they're a matching
 pair).  Dreams don't count?  Bah!

"Oh you're spoiling us, Mr. Ambassador!" I hear you all cry.  And well you should, as I now present unto you three - count 'em - three, double-page instalments of DON STARR In The DRAMA Of DOOM, from the pages of TERRIFIC as published way back in 1967.  Only another three episodes to go before the dynamic Don finds that he has an APPOINTMENT With FEAR!  Ooooh!

The CRUNCH COVER GALLERY - PART ELEVEN...

Okay, I put my hands up!  It's taking ages to get through all 54 covers of The CRUNCH, but it's your fault!  This particular cover gallery isn't garnering as many hits as some of the others do, meaning that posts like this are blog suicide when it comes to attracting your attention.  However, I'll persevere 'til the end.

Did any of you buy the title back in the day?  If you have any memories you'd care to share, then let fly, frantic ones.  Only 10 more covers to go - the countdown begins.
