Magpie! I still remember that theme song. And her. Don't remember what happened on the show however....
She was in the Hammer film Scars of Dracula (1970), which I bought on DVD not too long ago. It also has Patrick Troughton as Dracula's hideous middle-aged servant who falls madly in love with her. I kind of identified with him.
It was ITV's equivalent of the BBC's Blue Peter show, Phil. If you remember that, Magpie was pretty much the same.

Now that you've reminded me, Andrew, I inevitably remember the film and her appearance in it. Sometimes we just need that little prompt, eh? Stunning looking lass. And I assume that you identify only with Patrick Troughton's character's longing for her, and not with the appearance of the hideous, middle-aged individual he was playing?
Hot pants and diaphanous dresses, Kid :-)
Yes indeed, Norman. That was when women dressed in a womanly way, not something that they always do today.
