Remember The Daleks' hoverbout from TV Century 21 and Dalek Annuals? The Dalek seen above, being a 'modern' one, doesn't need such a craft, as the tinpot tyrants are able to fly under their own power nowadays, so just imagine the hoverbouts are for longer journeys to conserve energy, which is how I regard them. I'll have to keep an eye out for a 'classic' Dalek to replace the 'new' one, if I don't already have one somewhere - I forget whether I do or not. (Well, actually, I do have one, but it's holding a 'brain' or something, which isn't detachable.)
Anyway, thought some of you might like to see one of my recent acquisitions, seeing as how it's a physical manifestation of an iconic piece of comic strip Dalek equipment from the swinging 1960s. Like I said at the start of this post - do you remember them? (These are the seller's pictures - I'll add my own when I get a spare moment to snap some.)
(And what's happened to commenter CJ? On holiday, in hospital, joined a monastery? CJ, where are you? Out gallivanting with Scooby Doo?)

I didn't read TV21 etc as a kid but the image of a Dalek on one of these rings a bell for some reason.
You've maybe seen a picture of a Dalek on one from an Annual on my blog, McS.
Just checked, McS. There are quite anumber of images on the blog with Daleks on hoverbouts, though they're simpler versions. The first three Dalek Annuals show them on the cover, with the first one having quite a few on display.
Triple F here.Hope you are all well.loved Dr.Who...Jon Pertwee my time periiod.Have a couple of Daleks but not the one shown.Had pencil sharpners with Thunderbirds toys attatched....was there dalek sharpeners? Also loved transfers with poster backgrounds...dinosaurs on a planet etc loved transfers. As the sourse of all knowkedge Kid,was there ever Dr.Who transfers?
Hi TF, hope you're well also. Depends on what you mean by transfers. I think Letraset did some Dr. Who Transfers, but they were of the 'rub down' variety. If you mean lick and dab on transfers, there was a set of Dalek ones, which we in Scvotland called 'dabbities' (for obvious reasons). They're on the blog somewhere, under the title of Daleks Transfers. And yes, there was a Dalek sharpener - it pops up on eBay from time-to-time.
