Above is a replacement copy of a book that regular reader McScotty gave me a few years back. I asked him if it was okay to pass it on (unread) to someone I knew who'd been intending to track one down for some time and McS was okay with that. It wasn't in quite the condition I prefer my possessions to be in anyway, and I made a mental note to acquire a better one whenever the opportunity arose, as it did recently.
It arrived at Castel Crivens yesterday and I read it while perched on the porcelain, and I have to say I very much enjoyed it. So, if you've never seen this book before, track one down on eBay and add it to your collection while you can. Or, if you already own it, wax lyrical about exactly why you like it in our comments section.

I like Gulacy's art but it didn't work for me and was a bit flat. Glad you got a better copy of the book
I have to admit that it wasn't Gulacy at his best, McS, but it was interesting to see his 'take' on Conan. I'll add it to my collection of other Marvel Graphic Novels.
I've never heard of this graphic novel before but I've been a Conan fan for 50 years and last weekend I re-read my two favourite REH Conan stories from my e-book version of The Complete Chronicles of Conan. Those two stories were The Slithering Shadow and Shadows In The Moonlight both of which I originally encountered as Marvel adaptations in 1978 - The Slithering Shadow appeared in Savage Sword Of Conan (UK) No.9 dated July 1978 and Shadows In The Moonlight was re-printed in colour in the Conan Treasury Edition which came out in the autumn of 1978.
I've got the first two Conan Treasury Editions from 1975 and '77 respectively, CJ, but not the '78 one. I might have these stories in my Conan Saga issues though, or some other collection. I'd never heard of this Graphic Novel until a few short years ago, when McS mentioned it in one of his comments (I think).
France's Prime-Minister Sebastian Lecornu was born on June 11th 1986 which was the 50th anniversary of Robert E Howard's death.
Never heard of France's Prime-Minister, CJ, but then again, he's most likely never heard of me, so we're equal.
Well, Monsieur Lecornu has been in the news recently because he was appointed as French PM and then he resigned and was re-appointed a couple of days later. Don't forget to put your clocks back one hour tonight (I've already done mine).
I'd heard about France's PM's resignation, CJ, but his name never registered with me 'cos I'm not interested in politics. Put my clock back an hour? Hell's bells, I constantly live years in the past, so an hour doesn't bother me. (And my living-room clock is currently 45 minutes fast. Too lazy to take it off the wall and adjust it.)
