THE TITANS COVER COMPARISONS PART SEVEN - FANTASTIC FOUR #94...

Images copyright MARVEL COMICS

Anybody tired of this series yet or do you still want to see more?  While you're making up your minds, take a look at FANTASTIC FOUR #94, then compare it with The TITANS #37 - whaddya think, frantic ones, does the copy cut the mustard?  (Right now you're probably thinking "Hah, Kid has made a mistake - it's 'cut muster' or 'pass muster' - though the definite article [that's the word 'the'] is sometimes also included.")  Actually, you're misinformed - 'cut the mustard' is a legitimate expression in its own right, and, contrary to what used to be believed, does not derive from the 'muster' saying.  (So who said this blog isn't educational and informative?)

Right, English lesson now over, back to the comics.  Let's hear your views on just how well (or not) you think the copyist has done.  You never know, he might be reading this and appreciate your observations.

Probably the first one of these where I've preferred the Titans cover. The original, nice though it is, is a little crowded and I think the UK cover benefits from having more room to show us what's going on.

If only it'd had more room to show us the full mansion in the background though, DS. That's a nice element of the picture that adds something to it, and I think The Titans version suffers for its absence.

I'm partial to both, LH - Easter eggs and hot cross buns I mean. Think I'll go shopping tomorrow.

LH, I just saw an advert on TV encouraging people to save for next Christmas! I did wonder if I'd overslept and woken up in October for a moment. ..

Crazy, just crazy. This Christmas isn't even out of the way yet (until Jan 6th).

Everything is ruled these days by the quid. What you got they want even if it means extracting it 12 months early. Count the number of shops with the word Sale plastered all over it. Now what shall I buy Aunty Mildred for Christmas..

How about the Dandy or Beano Annual? On sale at £1.99 each.
