Just learned from NICK CAPUTO's blog that STAN LEE's gal Friday in the '60s, Fabulous FLO STEINBERG, died yesterday. A bit of MARVEL died with her. Rest in peace Flo. (To read Nick's more detailed look at Flo's career, click here.)
A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

A sad day indeed...
It always sad when someone we knew, even if only by name, from our young comics reading (or TV viewing) days passes on, isn't it? If only we could all live forever. (Good people anyway - which probably leaves me out.)
Oh no, not my lovely Flo? If you remember, Kid, I once requested her as "babe of the day"!
She would talk to the fans, but you know that!
Gotta head over to Nick's....
Yup, and I'd always intended to, JP. Such a shame.
Flo would probably be embarrassed by all the attention she has garnered in the past day but it speaks of her personality and kindness (I think my post on Flo has clocked in with the largest hits in a single day!)
Nick
That'll be for two reasons, Nick. The first, as you say, because she was so highly thought of, and the second because most of us who'd never met her had an image in our heads that she was still as she was in the '60s - and therefore far too young to die. That's why it's such a shock.
Sad. Also note her close resemblance to Betty Brant. A coincidence? I think not.
You may have something there, PS. After all, it's been said that J.J.J. was based on Stan.
