A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

May 2017 be all plain sailing, and may you float through life
on a calm blue sea. See you in the New Year, Criv-ite chums!

Ah, 2017...President Trump, Article 50...it should be fun. Anyway, I've hung up my new calendar (which came free with BBC Wildlife magazine) and now I'm going to head over to iplayer and find something to watch. A couple of days ago I watched the first ever episode of Dad's Army which I'd never seen before and yesterday afternoon I saw an episode of The Good Old Days from Christmas 1976 with Danny La Rue. Anyway, happy new year, Kid :)
And Happy New Year to you, CJ. As we're now in 2017, I'll restore your avatar - don't go deleting any comments now (old or new), or you'll have to stand in the corner again. I'm going to hang my girlie calendar shortly - once I've studied the contents closely to make sure everything is in order. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
Actually, I'd gotten used to my avatar-less comments and wasn't bothered but thanks anyway- I feel trusted again :D The January picture on my calendar is a hippo so not as interesting as yours (if you've really got a girlie calendar)...
It wouldn't surprise me, JP. I was wondering, as I read it, whether the BBC budget could have afforded half of what was described on the page. This is the sort of book I would have read back in 1965 had I known about it, but, reading it as an adult, I didn't think of it as being aimed exclusively at children. Going to read The Zarbi next.

Yup, sure have, CJ.
Aha! - I can see you again, Col!
Happy New Year, mate!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, KIDDA!
Thanks for another year's entertainment and look forward to another one!
Hope 2017 is good for you!
Thanks, JP - likewise. Read Dr. Who And The Crusaders by the way - good little read.
From what I remember, it was BETTER than the TV episodes!?

Happy new year to you, John !
Happy new year! Hope we are still here in a year and may we not live in interesting times.
