Gasp! Now that's what I call a bargain! Was in my local HOME BARGAINS store today and noticed these Annuals going for only £1 each. There was nothing to indicate that they were reduced, so who knows - that may well be their normal price in this chain of shops.
The RUPERT Annual marks 80 years of the bold bruin's book, and has a double-page end paper that features every cover to date. The FAMOUS FIVE book is nice too - I bought it mainly because I had an FF (no, not the MARVEL mob) Annual back in the '70s and this puts me in mind of it. Nicely nostalgic - superb!
The shop also has the Official DOCTOR WHO Annual for the same price, although I didn't buy it, nor check the contents. If you're looking to pick up some inexpensive treats for your kids, or nieces or nephews (or even just yourself), then trot along to your local HB shop as soon as you can before they're sold out!

I'm amazed that Rupert and the Famous Five are still around. I always thought it was rather silly that the Famous Five included the dog.
Why? He was famous as well. (And he was actually a boy in a dog suit.)
Didn't know Dreamworks has a stake in Rupert too. Still kinda sad we Americans don't see these published locally.
I don't know who owns what anymore, Chris. I can't be bothered with the headache of trying to keep track nowadays. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.
