Another half dozen covers in JERRY ORDWAY's The ADVENTURES Of SUPERMAN series from the late 1980s for you to thrill over, comic fans. The cover of #440 is pencilled by DAVE GIBBONS and inked by Jerry, and is very nice indeed. I plan on showcasing the other Superman titles from around the same period at some stage, so hopefully that's something for you all to look forward to. Meanwhile, though, enjoy the ones currently on display for your viewing pleasure.
Any favourites? Then shout them from the rooftops in our comments section. You all know the drill by now.

Possibly Superman’s last truly great period in comics - Issue 438 is a wee corker I have (or had) all these books and the interior art is stunning,Mr Ordway knows how to draw comics. Why his man still isn't doing mainstream comics is beyond me (unless he is making a mint in advertising etc in which case well done he deserves it).
Yeah, I lost interest in Superman many years ago, after the Byrne/Ordway/Frenz era. It was a mistake to have him marry Lois, in my estimation, just as it was for Peter Parker to marry Mary Jane. You should take a look at Jerry's blog in my bloglist, McS.
