Ladies, gentlemen, and Crivvies, prepare to be amazed as Mr. CAB CALLOWAY introduces the NICHOLAS BROTHERS, in what FRED ASTAIRE described as "the greatest dance number ever filmed." (And he was a man who certainly knew about dancing.)
A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Stormy Weather had some excellent stage moments, and for me this was certainly the pinnacle. These guys were just outstanding. (Mr. Calloway included!)
Absolutely fantastic dancers, CF. They must have been amazingly fit. This kind of dancing had class and style, far surpassing the hip gyrating, crotch thrusting antics that passes for dancing today.
Seem to remember doing that routine with the missus, bout ten years back, down at the local miners welfare.
Backs a bit stiff now but I'm sure we could still do it justice.
Eh,oop lad.
BTW......Superb!
I could only do it justice if it was prepared to show me mercy. There's a joke in there somewhere - work it out for yourselves.
Just amazing! I watched with one of my daughters. She had never seen anyone tap dancing before, which just blows my mind!
You never know, Graham - it might kick-start an interest in tap dancing in her, which would be no bad thing. I'm thinking of taking it up myself in an effort to get fit. Glad you both enjoyed it.
It would probably be a good way to get fit, Kid, but I would be careful doing those splits. :)
The only splits I'll be going near are banana-splits, Graham.
