As stated last time, MARVEL U.K.'s SAVAGE SWORD Of CONAN weekly from 1975 only lasted for eighteen issues. We've already seen the first six covers from the short-lived series in a recent post, so here are issues seven to twelve to cast your appreciative peepers over. The last batch will follow shortly.

Issue 7 was the third one that didn't turn up as part of my weekly order. I wonder what the problem was? Bad weather in April 1975?!
About five or six years later, I finally read the Barry Smith story in a Marvel Pocket Book reprint.
Hi Kid! Just thought I'd say how much I'm enjoying these posts on Marvel UK! Although I always loved the American Marvels, their spotty distribution meant that the reliable British weeklies were more important to me at the time.
I remember buying the first issue of Conan, but a lot of these other issues passed me by. It may have been that my pocket money didn't stretch far enough! I caught up with Conan later, when his comic merged with The Avengers, and then later again when the monthly Conan comic came out. And that was a real favourite, with all that amazing artwork by Buscema, Alcala and co.
Dougie, I never seemed to have too much of a problem with the early UK Marvels. If an issue wasn't in one shop (sold out I suppose), I got it in another. However, I did have a problem with 2 issues of The Complete FF, which I didn't manage to track down 'til at least 6 or 7 years later.

cerebus, glad you're enjoying the posts. Knowing that people appreciate them makes it all worthwhile. And that Buscema/Alcala artwork was fantastic. I was surprised to later learn that Big John wasn't too keen on Alcala's inks.
As I said before, I had a weekly order in the village shop. Going to Strathaven or EK wasn't always an option if a comic didn't show up that week. I didn't have pocket money, as such, until I went to secondary school the following August.
i have no recollection of the cover of number 8
i do know the stories
Barry Smith became a favourite because of this,
i was also unaware of the low run on the issues,
I was lucky enough to go to a caravan site in Pettycur bay, between Kinghorn and Burntisland in Fife, which had a store that sold the treasury editions,(all of them as they appeared )and over a few summers i bought many, including the Conan treasury by Barry which was to my eyes just wonderful in the larger size,I may also have appreciated the colour, as i did not always have original american issues.
I also bought the pocket size reprints and had a full set,I look at my bookshelfs and they are no longer there...a foolish foray into comic mart drama,ha!
I remember having that Conan Treasury myself. I've replaced a few others over the years - maybe one day I'll get another copy of that one as well. (I even remember holidaying in Kinghorn back in the mid-'60s.)
Kid,
The new cover looks to be the work of Ron Wilson abd Frank Giacoia. Keep the covers coming! I love seeing both these and Terrific.
Your wish is my command, Nick. (Was this one meant for Part 3?)
Hi Kid,
the cover ID was for part 2: Savage Sword # 11.
