A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Part two of DON STARR's second adventure in the pages of TERRIFIC - all for you 'cos I'm such a generous fella and can't stand to see anyone go without. Ain't I good to you?! After the next instalment, I'd better start wondering where I've stashed them all, so that I can scan the rest of the series.
In the meantime, enjoy!
PART TWO Of LION'S ROBOT ARCHIE: The JUNGLE ROBOT...
Another four early ROBOT ARCHIE pages for you to drool over, comics-lovers. These two instalments are from LION #s 4 & 5, published way, way back in 1952, so you've got a real slice of history to savour. Isn't it a crime that there's no comic mag today publishing new adventures of all the great British comic heroes of yesteryear? What would you call a weekly mag containing strips like The STEEL CLAW, ADAM ETERNO, JANUS STARK, The SPIDER, KELLY'S EYE, DAN DARE, CURSITOR DOOM, KARL The VIKING, STEEL COMMANDO, The TRIGAN EMPIRE, SIMON TEST, GALAXUS, and other fondly-remembered greats from the past? I'd call it "Bloody Brilliant!"
IS THERE LIFE ON MARS?
Can't say I was ever a DAVID BOWIE fan, to be honest. To me, he summons up four things: The LAUGHING GNOME, SPACE ODDITY, LIFE On MARS, The SNOWMAN intro - oh, make that five - and the bad half of a duet with BING CROSBY. Okay, let's round it off to a half dozen - his 1976 film, The MAN WHO FELL To EARTH contained a couple of JIM REEVES songs in the soundtrack.
Still, even I, philistine that I am, feel a bit sad at his passing, so I can well imagine how devastated his diehard fans feel. Here, in tribute to him, is The KING'S SINGERS version of LIFE ON MARS. They also do a couple of neat BEATLES covers, which I'll hit you with at a future date, you lucky peeps!
Incidentally, don't you think that actor EDDIE REDMAYNE would be perfect for playing Bowie in a movie of his life? He's got that androgynous look down to a tee. What say the rest of you?
DON STARR In The DRAMA Of DOOM - PART ONE...
Okay, peeps - here's the intrepid DON STARR in his next adventure, from the pages of TERRIFIC, as published by ODHAMS PRESS way back in the late 1960s. Everything old is new again, and yesterday has become today. What am I talking about? No point in asking me, I just make it all up as I go along. Enjoy! And don't forget to come back for further episodes, POWER fans!
