Well, Robin, the Boy Wonder (I wonder if he's a real boy) sure looks happy enough to see Superman fly overhead, but look at the expression on Batman's kipper. It seems to suggest he's thinking what a show-off Supes is, or he's annoyed because Robin never smiles as warmly at him. H'm, could Wertham have been right in his speculations about the Dynamic Duo? Great piece of art, isn't it, but I don't know who the artist is, unfortunately.

According to the blog 13th Dimension this was painted by Alex Ross. The previous illo looked like it could have been AI. Both are very nice though.
I'd considered they might be by Ross but was uncertain, which was why I hedged my bets by saying I didn't know. Never heard of 13th Dimension, McS - any good? (Hint: The correct answer is not as good as Crivens.)
It's ok in general it shows 13 pics from comics / creators etc. it's not as good as Crivens though.
Good lad, McS - you'll go far.
There was a recent programme on BBC Radio 4-Extra about sidekicks in which somebody said Robin was a pathetic sidekick because who'd agree to be called a stupid name like Robin?
All sidekicks are pathetic, CJ. They were only created so the hero could explain the plot to the readers (via the sidekick) without looking like he (the hero) was talking to himself.
