Nope, don't know her name, only that
she was one of the Shado gals who graced
Gerry Anderson's live-action TV show back
in the '70s, UFO. That's certainly not some-
thing anyone would ever say to her, is it?
(Not unless they're totally bonkers.)
(Well, whaddya know?! It's Michael Caine's wife, Shakira,
though I don't think she was married to him at this time.)

Not a lot of people know that. I didn't.
You do now though, M. As do I.
So you want to work for SHADO, young lady?
Yes sir - I have all the necessary qualifications.
To do this job you'll be required to wear a purple wig for no apparent reason.
Um...OK...
And don't forget the 'string' outfits that show off bits of their bod, CJ.
Wasn't the reason for the wigs given as they had some anti static property that kept the ladies hair in place in zero gravity. No doubt the main reason was they just looked futuristic .I also did not know this lady was Michael Caines wife .
Sorry I meant UFO not 1999. Was Isha Brough in UFO as well
That may well be the reason, McS, and if I ever get around to watching my UFO box set of DVDs, I'll be in a position to confirm (or refute) it. Yes indeed, Ayshea was in UFO, as was Wanda Ventham (Benedict Cumberbatch's mum) and Gabrielle Drake.
Apparently it was a coffee ad appearance on the TV a few years later that drew Mr Caine's attention to his soon-to-be wife (or so I recall reading somewhere)
I remember him recounting that story when he was interviewed on TV a few years back, BS, and I subsequently read it somewhere as well. I think he was all set to fly over to where he thought she lived at the time, only to find that she wasn't that far from him. (Something like that anyway.)
