"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds..." wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson, but that's not to suggest all consistency is foolish, only that of the foolish variety. So I find myself wishing DC could be more consistent in how they present their Facsimile Editions, as when they released their 'Batman Day' replica of Detective Comics #27, they scanned the interiors from a published issue, with only a thin margin around the pages. Now, with the release of its Action Comics #1 equivalent, they've used brand-new proofs and the pages have far wider margins around them with smaller images within. In short, #27 looks like an old comic, and #1 looks like a brand new one, despite both being the same dimensions.
Anyway, it's still nice to have (despite the baddie's left arm being too long and bent, due to whoever extended the bottom of the cover not ending the elbow where it was meant to end), so here's a piccie of it just in case you might want to buy one for yourselves. Also, below is the latest Facsimile Edition of Fantastic Four, the fourth in the series, so buy this one as well while you're at it! Excelsior!!!

Oddly enough the arm is bent like that in the original.
It is to some degree, even on the stat of the original cover art as well. However, there seems to be some indication that it was slightly extended even at that early stage before publication, which makes it look even more so. The arm is definitely too long though, and different reprints aren't always consistent.
It took me a while to find this post. Gosh was it really as far back as April last year? How time flies! Anyway, I just wanted to mention that this year's Beano calendar is better than the last few years in that it is non-woke. February made me smile in particular though as it is a skit on Action Comics no. 1 with Bananaman as the star. You can see it here on the back cover pic if you don't own the calendar yourself.

It's been years since I bought a Beano calendar - I remember buying the 50th Anniversary one, maybe also a couple of others. Never liked Bananaman for some reason, and doesn't Dennis look a bit 'girlie' these days (far too 'cutsie'-looking), don't like it at all.
I didn't like when they changed Dennis in the 90s, I suppose it's inevitable that a character will be refreshed every so often for a new audience that will alienate the previous audience. I prefer the Bananaman TV cartoon to the comic strip. I thought it was quite good.
Never watched the cartoon, M, though I saw bits on telly a couple of times before switching over. As for Dennis, I consider any change that makes him look less menacing to be a change too far.
