COMIC COVERS 'SNAP'! - PART THIRTEEN...

Once upon a time I owned a complete set of VULCAN.  Now
all I have is one issue, a Holiday Special and an Annual.  However,
look at the cover of that one weekly issue and compare it with that of
the Annual - pretty similar, eh?  Same scene, different point of view, but
obviously based on the same idea.  I imagine that both pictures may be
enlargements of two panels in perhaps the same adventure involving
two riders, but if anyone knows for sure, please let me know.  Don't
worry, I'll share the info with all the other Criv-ites 'cos I'm not
a meanie that way.

In the meantime, enjoy DON LAWRENCE's wonderful art.

Beautiful Lawrence artwork - and Vulcan came along at a convenient time, chockful of strips I knew were old, but had never seen before. Trigan Empire was the main selling point, obviously, but I also had a soft spot for the House Of Dolmann....talk about multiple personality disorder!

Nice art indeed, Kid, but I've got to say that they're not the most threatening creatures I've ever seen; they seem almost puppy-like. 'Glaikit' was the word that sprang to mind when I took a look at the mugs on them.

It was a nice little comic. BS - wish I still had them all. I remember being fascinated by the first episode of the Trigan Empire.

Yeah, but look at the size of them, GB. Last thing you want is one of them sitting on your head, glaikit or not. They remind me of Dino from the Flinstones.

Until I saw the second.
I had that annual and this is the art I am familiar with.
But I accepted the first.
