RIP JAGGY'S NO-GO...

He's a bit of an 'intellectual acrobat' himself, especially
when defending his opinion.  Copyright relevant owner

Hi, my name's Rip Jaggy (named after an obscure comics character, which fits me to a tee) and I have a wunnerful blog named Rip Jaggy's No-Go.  So named because when I state an opinion on anything, I brook no dissent and won't tolerate anyone disagreeing with me if, in so doing, they demonstrate that I'm talking outta my @ss.  I mean what I mean, regardless of whether what I say can mean more than I meant it to mean, so don't comment if you're going to take anything I write to its logical conclusion and reveal my woolly thinking.  On this blog I'm king and I want you peasants readers to know your place.

Your only purpose is to make me feel good by agreeing with everything I say, and if you don't, I'll take a huffy fit and tell you to f*ck off!  I know I'm an insecure, ineffectual, inadequate individual so I don't need reminding, thank you very much.  In fact, the reason I hate Donald Trump so vehemently is that he reminds me so much of myself.  Now, you know the rules, so don't bother commenting if you're not going to obey them.  Now where'd I put my liquor?

On first reading this post I was completely baffled so I went back and examined Rip's posts over the last week and the accompanying comments which is when I discovered your disagreement (to put it politely) over the reasons for Brexit. I'm sorry you've fallen out, Kid, because I always enjoyed your comments on Rip's blog.

As you don't mind people disagreeing with you, I'll just say that you made a fair point about why people voted for Brexit but I totally disagree that Brexit has failed because it was "sabotaged from within" so we didn't get a proper Brexit. We've left the EU, the Single Market and the Customs Union which sounds like a proper Brexit to me. Brexit has failed because its' supporters lied about the benefits of leaving the EU and no other EU member has followed us out because they can see what a disaster Brexit is.

I typed all my comments in a jovial and good-natured frame of mind, CJ, so he obviously just can't tolerate being disagreed with and his opinion being shown to be ludicrous. He was equating Brexit with racism and that's simply nonsense. Which is not to deny, of course, that some racists will have voted for Brexit; on the other hand some will have voted against because they had other priorities. The fact is, he blinked first and resorted to rudeness and swearing so he lost the 'argument' in my view.

And you're perfectly free to disagree with me. As you know, I've never minded being disagreed with on this blog as I love a good debate - as long as it produces light and not just heat. I'd still say we haven't so far had a complete Brexit and it's doubtful now that we ever will as Starmer is already backtracking on it. Also, I don't really see how Brexit has been a 'disaster' as my life isn't any worse off than it was before. Is it any better? In some ways it actually is, but I don't think it's because of Brexit.

Why are we talking politics again on a nostalgia blog? Go and take another look at my Plaston Tardis and Herts Dalek (new photo of mine) and tell me how wonderful they are.
