You've done a very nice job on yours but no, I won't be painting mine . Of the figures I have seen in this set Iron Man is by far the best.
ReplyDeleteThe Hulk one is too small, McS, but I quite like the Thor one.
DeleteThis looks great. Unfortunately my artistic skills are well below average and therefore I would have zero motivation to attempt something like this. Admitting it to yourself is the first step. Leave it to the experts, I say. I'd much rather look at something done well rather than a botched attempt from myself. What did Iron Man look like before the paint job? I did a quick Google and it seems to be one colour but three variations of red, green or silver?
ReplyDeleteIt was all one colour sure enough, M, but it's back on top a bookcase now and I don't want to risk knocking things over that sit around it to look at the (unpainted) underside of the base. Green, I think.
DeleteI've definitely seen the pin-up in a British Marvel comic but which one eludes me. I don't remember it as a cover.
ReplyDeleteI believe it also appeared as a b&w pin-up (with grey) in SMCW, which I suspect I published on the blog somewhere a few years back, M.
