ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON?

I've just noticed that the edit facility at the foot of all my posts has disappeared and I can no longer edit a post from the page itself.  Instead, I have to go into the 'design' page and do it that way.  Anyone else noticed this problem and, if so, know what's causing it?  Or am I the only one afflicted with it?

  1. Kid, you can still edit them. Just click on any post you wish to edit. Click in the place you wish to edit, type your changes, then click on the choices what you want to do with the post at the top of the page and choose update.

  2. Perhaps I haven't explained things too well, JP. I know I can edit the posts if I click into the 'design' section of the blog, but I used to be able to edit from the post (as you see it) via a little 'edit' icon at the foot of the published post. That icon has now disappeared, so instead of two editing options, I now only have one.

  3. Did that only recently disappear, Kidda? ( Don't use the website version, just my mobile phone )
All I know is since the last Blogger shake - up, it doesn't say "Edit" in the design section either, but figured I could still do it, as described.
BUT ... I can no longer resize images added from my files!
Plus, if I add a YouTube video by url, although it appears on the draft page, once published there is just a blank space where the video is supposed to be!
I wish that they had just left well alone!!

  4. It disappeared yesterday at some point, JP. Maybe Blogger are trying to improve things and the disappearance is only temporary while they're working on it. I hope so anyway.

  5. Just checked mine when I read your note and mine at the Dojo are gone too. It is a little bit of an inconvenience for sure.

  6. Ta, RJ. Makes you wonder what the hell Blogger is playing at.

  7. Blogger has really messed up the way our blogs work, editing and manipulating pics especially. Seems like everything is more complicated and less convenient.

  8. Yeah, and when you add a footnote to an image, it no longer stays within the confines of the image, but stretches across the whole page - extending the margin around the image to extreme dimensions. Also, when you update a post, if you amend the title, any changes don't show at the review stage, but only when it's published. What the hell were they thinking?!
