Following on from my earlier post about my complete sets of UK comics, I thought I'd now turn my attention to complete runs of my US collections, or at least the ones that spring readily to mind. As is likely with my British comics, I've probably overlooked some American ones too, but don't worry - there'll still be enough pretty pictures of comics covers for you to gaze lovingly and longingly at.
Okay, I'll just list them rather than warble on about them, so let's go. MARVEL ones first, as they occur to me, not in order of publication. Anyway, that's all I can think of for the moment. There are others, but until I see them again to remind me I have them, they'll have to go unheralded. Any Crivs got any complete sets of the above mags?

It is interesting that having ghe complete collections more often means keeping comics that either failed or had short runs.
Also some comics, such as Sgt Fury, converted into reprints and I just have the new ones.

X-Men was another title that switched to reprints, BP. I wonder how many times that happened with Marvel titles?
I knew that Doctor Who had featured in Marvel Premiere but I didn't know he had his own US title lasting 23 issues. I assume they were reprints of the UK Who weekly?
Well, you clearly weren't paying attention back in 2013, CJ, when I posted all 23 covers on the blog. Yup, the stories were reprints of the UK weekly and monthly, though there might've been some new articles - can't quite remember.
I didn't start reading your blog until late in 2013, Kid, so I must have missed those US Who covers.
Gasp! You mean you haven't trawled (as opposed to trolled) through the archives to see what you missed, CJ? Why waste time on other blogs when everything you need is here? (What's that, nurse? Take this pill? Why?)
Sgt. Fury went to complete reprints with issue #121 and technically changed its name. It added “And the Howling Commandos” with that issue.
The X-Men had reprints from issue 67 to 93.
Marvel Super-Heroes went to reprints with issue #21, but they had an original Watcher story in issue #23.
Chamber of Darkness was renamed: Monsters on the Prowl and went to reprints.
Tower of Shadows was renamed: Creatures on the Loose and eventually went to all reprints.
Journey into Mystery Vol II went to reprints.

And Giant-Size Fantastic Four went all reprint with its last two issues, after having new material (and back-up reprints) for its first four. Marvel Super-Heroes started as Fantasy Masterpieces for its first eleven issues and was all reprint, then switched its name to MSH with #12 and started featuring new material with reprint back-ups, then (as you say) went to all-reprint (aside from the new Watcher tale).
So it started as a reprint mag, featured new material for a while, then went back to reprints. Sheesh! And the eight ish Human Torch comic was all reprint, featuring Silver Age and Golden Age Torch tales. Handy things reprints, eh, BP?
Honestly, I did not think in the 1960s that reprints (or TV reruns) were a gold mine. Wow, was I wrong
Thank goodness that they are goldmines, BP, otherwise we'd never have seen the Masterworks, Epic Collections, or Omnibus editions.
I may have Eternals . That was one of those I titles I got because Kirby did it, read it once and wondered what kind of weed he was smoking in those cigars to write that dialogue.
Weird Worlds actually ran ten issues. That's one of the few that I own a complete set of, collecting them as they were published (Wanted! was one of the others) Seven issues featured the ERB characters, three featured Iron Wolf. The tenth issue was published nearly a year after the previous one (October, 73 to July, 74)..
It's a dry read, PS. I re-read the Annual a few years back and had to do it in two sittings because it was so tedious.
