BABE OF THE DAY - SYBIL DANNING...

Today's babe is requested by someone
named BASIL, who wanted to see a sultry
photo of SYBIL.  We aim to please, Basil, so
here she is.  The telephone line was a little bit
FAWLTY, but it sounded like he said he's
married to her.  A very lucky man, eh?

I think the pic is from a movie called Battle Beyond The Stars, LH, which was set in space. It's cold in space, so that's no doubt why she's wrapped up so warmly. (The movie was based on The Magnificent Seven.)

I vaguely remember reading about that movie, Robert Vaughn was in it, never seen it. I do recall seeing Sybil though and I'm sure Basil would have been a lot nicer to her if she looked like this.

George Peppard was also in it, PS. I remember going to see it at my local cinema when it first came out. I think I read about it in Starburst first, and it must've piqued my curiosity.

She was supposed to be Black Diamond. A comic/movie that never happened. Fairly popular with fan boys of the very early 80's.

She's certainly popular with me, TD. She can have one of my chips any time.

IIUC, the Black Diamond project was cancelled because of a dispute over who owned the trademark and/or copyright.

The photo is definitely from Battle Beyond the Stars, which also starred Darlanne Fluegel, Richard Thomas, and John Saxon. When it was first shown on network TV, they matted in a control panel in the spaceship cockpit to hide Sybil's chest.

Robert Vaughn played basically the same character that he had played in the 1960 version. And Danning was in yet another Magnificent Seven remake, 1983's The Seven Magnificent Gladiators.

I would not have any difficulty telling Sybil Danning from Sybil Fawlty. It made be harder telling a difference between Danning and Cybill Shepherd, but it would be fun trying.

TC, women don't have chests - men have chests, women have bosoms. For instance, I have a manly chest, and Sybil has a magnificent bosom. Chest is too masculine a word to describe what Sybil's got. Don't blame me, that's what it says in The Sexist's Union Rulebook for 2018. Don't think I've ever heard of the Black Diamond, I'll have to Google search it.

Sybil was never married to this Basel guy. This is absolutely false.

I just had to publish the above comment, even though it's obviously a wind-up. Anyone really that ignorant and obtuse couldn't 'manage' to cross the road by himself.
