A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Don't forget Shakin' Stevens 1982 version and last year modern group The Lumineers also had a nice version.
ReplyDeleteI think we can safely forget Shakey's version, CJ, as it wasn't much more than an imitation of Elvis's. Never heard of the Lumineers, but Jim's version will do for me. Smoooooooth.
ReplyDeleteYes, i prefer Jim Reeves' version to Elvis' cut. But when it comes to Christmas music, i am still bound by my Mother's tastes from decades back.
ReplyDeleteGive me Andy Williams for my holiday soundtrack.
I've got the Andy Williams Christmas Album as well. Did you know he was Jim Reeve's favourite male singer?
ReplyDeleteNope, that's news to me. But it fits, and rather nicely.
ReplyDeleteJust like Ella fits Gerald, eh? (Duh?)
