A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

I think she was in the film 'Prince Valiant' in that photo. I remember reading somewhere that Psycho was the first ever Hollywood film to show a toilet on screen !
ReplyDeleteAh, but which was the first to show someone using one, CJ?
ReplyDeleteThat could be Catch-22...when Chaplain Tappman walks into Col. Cathcart's office only to discover him tidying up (so to speak) on the toilet.
ReplyDeleteNever seen Catch 22, BS. Worth watching? (I don't mean for the toilet scene.)
ReplyDeleteIt's worth watching twice (at least) - once as just the movie, and then again with the very good commentary by Steven Soderbergh and director Mike Nichols.
ReplyDeleteI doubt I'd buy the DVD, BS, but if it ever pops up on telly, I may give it a look. Ta.
ReplyDeleteI would assume the photo is from "Prince Valiant." Either that or "The Vikings."
ReplyDelete"Catch-22" seemed kind of pretentious and overblown for my taste. But it did add a phrase to our language.
I've seen clips of it, TC, but it never really grabbed my interest. When it next comes on telly, if there's nothing better on, I'll give it a go.
