A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Holy crap £52!
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine it would cost a lot more to acquire the actual issues, Phil. However, I must confess that I'd rather pay £19.99 than £52.99. (I've bought quite a few of them at the full price.)
ReplyDeleteI shall immediately drop everything and travel 500 miles north. My nearest Forbidden Planet is about 20 miles away and completely out of my way so I rarely visit - that's why downloading comics is so handy for me these days, I still like the proper printed versions but when you get a download you don't have to worry about missing issues either.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get a download, you can't sniff the smell of the paper, nor watch your comic stack grow in the corner of your room.
ReplyDeleteI get my reprints at the big cons from these guys, https://www.cheapgraphicnovels.com/marvel-masterworks/
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is while most of the are cheap some of the reprints are now outrageously expensive themselves.
It's always the way, I suppose. Some of the re-issued Action Man (G.I. Joe) figures and costumes are at least as expensive as the originals in some cases. Comics or toys, the same thing happens once collectors get the bit between their teeth.
