A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

That was my Dalek suit in the last ad, which interestingly had exactly the same smell as the free pennant in Fantastic#1!
ReplyDeleteNo doubt made of the same material, JP. I'd have loved a Dalek costume as a kid.
ReplyDeleteMy ultimate desire was to own a real Dalek & get inside it. I have entered 3 different competitions to try and win one, including the TV21 competition in which you had to compete the sentence:- If I saw a Dalek in the street....There were hundreds of prizes, first prize- a real film Dalek. Anyway, my Mother had this "brilliant" idea, which she said nobody else would think of, to complete the sentence with :- I would be very surprised! I agreed with her idea and entered it. When it came to the issue with the winners in, I hadn't even won a booby prize of a Dalek pencil! So much for Motherly advice! When you get to those issues, remember my disappointment!
ReplyDeleteKid, ever wish you could travel back in time with a wad of cash and buy two of every one of these toys? One for yourself and one fo take to auction!
ReplyDeleteIf only......
Ken.
JP, I saw that page - I'll put it up on the blog for you before too long.
ReplyDelete******
Ken, only two? I'd buy a dozen of each.
I think I have an MP3 of Marina Speaks knocking around somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI got copies of most of the Century 21 records when they were released on tape back in the '90s. They've also been included on some of the DVD boxed sets. Along with my original records, I must have most of them, I think. Love the Fireball XL5 one.
