SPIDER-MAN COMICS WEEKLY COVER GALLERY - PART FIVE...

Images copyright MARVEL COMICS

Here's the latest power-packed presentation of captivating covers and incredible interiors from the sensational SPIDER-MAN COMICS WEEKLY published in 1973.  The printing quality may not always have been particularly good, but the iconic images were certainly colourful.  (Apart from the black and white pages of course.)

On the page above, the THOR panel is based on the cover of JOURNEY Into MYSTERY #95, wherein the tale first appeared. (If I remember correctly, the JACK KIRBY version was used as a pin-up inside a subsequent issue somewhere down the line.)

So, I'll let you lose yourselves in memories of yesteryear as you become reacquainted with these pulsating pics from an earlier time.  And if you have any related reminiscences you'd care to share with your fellow Criv-ites, feel free to do so in the comments section.

  1. What happened to issues 10-12?

  2. Good question. I must've prepared them as a draft and inadvertently deleted it without noticing. I'll add them to Part 4.

  3. Thanks, Kid. I'm hoping they'll continue on until the late Seventies - 1976 to 1979 is when the real Proustian Rush will kick in!

  4. Alas, alack - although I have every 'paper' covered SMCW (& MWOM), my 'glossy' covered issues are far less extensive. I will publish them 'though.

  5. That's a shame but I look forward to seeing whatever you publish. Loving the Missing Link/Johnny Future installments as well.

  6. Take a look at part four of this series, Peter - the missing covers are now there.
