A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Kid,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see these covers and pin-ups. The cover looks to be inked by Mike Esposito and the Spider-Man-Arachnia pin-up may be Starlin-Milgrom.
Incidentally, the next issue of Back Issue will focus on Marvel's British weeklies and feature an interview with Starlin discussing his cover art. That should be interesting, since the large art book on Starlin had neither cover repros or a mention of his work for the Weeklies.
Thanks for reminding me about the next issue of Back Issue, Nick. I'll do my best to pick up a copy in my local comics shop.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Spidey Science page - I was thinking Starlin/Milgrom myself.
The Mysterio cover is one of my all-time favourites!
ReplyDeleteIt's a belter, sure enough. You got your computer fixed yet, Dougie?
