Don't know who the artist is, unfortunately, but isn't this just an absolute belter of a painting?! West and Ward as Batman and Robin never looked so good as they do here. If they'd only been so dynamic in real life, then the Caped Crusaders' TV show back in the '60s might have lasted a few more seasons than it did. I can only wonder what this ace artist's rendition of Catwoman and Batgirl looks like. Would love to see what he does with them, art-wise.
Have you seen the animated movies made in the style of the TV series? They hold pretty true to the style of the TV show and the second one features William Shatner as Two Face.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've got both of them, G, and all three versions of Catwoman are in the first one, though only Julie Newmar's voice is used for her cartoon incarnation. I've had the second version for years, yet still haven't watched it - must dig it out. My 'review' of the first one is on the blog somewhere.
