The FANTASTIC FOUR #10 Facsimile Edition...

Copyright MARVEL COMICS

Behold - the latest Facsimile Edition in the Fantastic Four series by Marvel Comics.  Two more to go before this sequential run ends, unless, of course, they've been selling so well they keep on going.  I certainly wouldn't mind, even though I've already got all the Lee & Kirby FF mags in a mix of original monthlies and collected reprints.  Anyway, for your eyes only, all the 'chapter' pages plus the pin-up contained in this classic '60s tale.  Feel free to share any reminiscences you have of this tale, whether from the original issue or one of the many reprints.

  1. I hope they reprint some more of these from later Kirby FF issues, I'm not a big fan of his really early FF stuff, but once he got into his stride the FF ( for me) took off big time.

    1. I like them 'cos they were the first FF stories I ever read, McS, but there are some continued stories I'd like to see from later, like when Doom steals the Surfer's powers, when The Thing is kidnapped and taken to fight in the Skrulls' games, and - oh, there are some other ones, but I forget which ones at the moment.

  2. On the pin-up page Sue's outstretched arm seems a bit too long.

Kid, next Saturday (Oct 18th) will be 50 years since The Titans No.1 came out so that would make a good subject for a post if you've got nothing else to write about - and it was, after all, a revolutionary moment when we all gasped in amazement at a comic printed sideways!

    1. Definitely too long, CJ, something I and Alan McKenzie (Tharg) have commented on before. It was the same as Spidey's arm on the cover of AF #15 - same arm as well. Yes, I might do a brief post on Titans #1.

  3. Another problem with that Sue pin-up is her body below the waist seems too big for her upper body.

    1. So what you're saying, CJ, is that her bum looks big in that?

  4. With her overly large bottom half and her abnormally long arms poor Sue isn't as sexy as that pin-up implies.

  5. Well, I'm actually blaming Jack Kirby, Kid, for doing Sue an injustice!
