Thanks for the tip off. I missed out last year as my whs branch didn't get them in stock until early October and I'd already bought them. Will have a look tomorrow. It's a great deal !
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just! I was in The Works earlier and saw The Broons/Oor Wullie book reduced from £14.99 to £10 and nearly bought it. Glad I didn't as I decided to check WHS first and saw ALL their Annuals 2 for £10. That's even better than the DCT shop, which is selling those 2 books for £20 the pair.
ReplyDeleteNo annuals today in my local whs. I will wait until October this year before buying online.
ReplyDeleteIt's odd that my local would have them and not yours, AL. Did you ask, or did you just not see any out on display?
ReplyDeleteDidn't bother asking. I think it's because I live in southern England. I've never known annuals appearing in shops before mid September at the earliest. Haven't seen a regular oor willie/broons annual in any shop for 3 years or so. My local works never get them. I'll keep a watch out every week in whs
ReplyDeleteMy local Works has the Broons/Oor Wullie hardback, plus whichever softcover is on sale this year. (Can't remember whether it was The Broons or Oor Wullie.) My WHS has the Beano and Dandy Annuals, the Rupert Annual, plus a few others. Might be worth asking if your WHS has any Annuals as some stores don't always put them where you'd expect them to be.
