I wanna know what happens if I pull that chain...hopefully she doesn't just flush and make a convenience of herself...
ReplyDeleteIf anyone pulls that chain, she belts them in the mouth, HS. Except for me, of course, 'cos she adores me. (Well, what woman could resist my rougue-ish charms?)
ReplyDeleteSticks and stones may break my bones...but whips and chains excite me.
ReplyDeleteNot by themselves surely, TC? There needs to be a woman like Sybil at the other end of them.
ReplyDeleteYes, if the Sybil at the other end is Danning. No, if it's Mrs. Fawlty.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a gun barrel in the opening scene of the Bond movies. At first, I thought it might be a telescopic sight, but it looks like it has a spiral pattern of lands and grooves, i.e., the rifling inside the bore.
The photo of Sybil in this post is probably from the 1980s. There was some talk at that time of her playing Octopussy, but the role went to Maud Adams instead. Then there were plans for Sybil to star in an action movie as a double O-type secret agent (I can see it now: "Blond...Jane Blond"), but that project was abandoned. In an interview in Amazing Heroes magazine sometime around 1990, she said that the deal fell through because of a dispute over who owned the trademark.
It's usually described as a gun-barrel, TC, but I always felt it would make more sense as a gun-sight. Presumably, it also would have grooves? I think Sybil would have been good as Octopussy, so I wonder why she was passed over for Maud? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteSybil posted links to Crivens on her Facebook page yesterday and today. (It's still Saturday the 19th in the US.) She seemed pleased to have been chosen as Babe of the Day, although she seemed to think it was the first time. I typed her name in the search box and she's been BOTD at least six times since 2014.
ReplyDeleteWe've known of her existence for years, so it's only fair that she now knows of yours.
Cock-a-hoop, at the news, TC. It's good to know that such a goddess even knows of my existence. I'm overwhelmed.
