A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

He was the best.
ReplyDeleteDon't hold back now, PW - did you like his art or not? (Hee hee!)
ReplyDeleteI was not a fan of his later political screeds. I did find Mr A interesting as a philosophical look at superheroes. I can definitely see the split coming with him and Stan over Spider-Man though. Ditko and Lee were going in different directions with the character.
ReplyDeleteSteve didn't like Stan calling Spider-Man 'Spidey', or the 'web-spinner' or 'web-head', etc. I think had Steve scripted the tales, they'd have been a dry, humourless read. Much like his political/philosophical screeds.
