RECOMMENDED READING: THE AVENGERS #4.1...

For all those who haven't yet latched on to MARVEL's The AVENGERS .1 series, above is the latest issue's cover to whet your appetite.  On sale now at all good comics shops.  If you're fortunate, you might still be able to pick up previous issues, but if not, start saving for the soft-cover collection.  There's bound to be one.

    What exactly is the " .1 " series, Kid? At first I thought it happened after the Avengers #4 ( like Avengers 1.5 happened between 1 and 2 ), but seeing as it stars the "kooky quartet" I then dispelled that and thought that it might be the Avengers 4, issue 1, but that's not the case either if there is a .1 series, either....
    Hold on, I'll google it!

    It's set not long after the 'new' Avengers first formed, JP. Bear in mind that stories published in the '60s & '70s (and '80s & '90s, etc.) are meant to have occurred around 7 or 8 years back at the latest (unless otherwise noted), so that's when this series is set.

    I still have to read issue 3 but I am enjoying this series - at least I understand whats going on and whos' who.

    That's always a plus in a comicbook these days, PM. As I've said before, I feel as if I'm just continuing these stories from Terrific.
