BABES OF THE DAY - MAGDA KONOPKA, VICTORIA VETRI & IMOGEN HASSALL...

I's a tough choice, but someone's
got to make it.  So which of this trio of
hot babes would you choose for the wife?
(If you ask me, I'd let your wife choose her
own girlfriends - we men have got more
than enough to do as it is.  Heh.)

  1. These maidens three are all so fair,
And one has even got blond hair...
Oops - wrong post. Of course, this pic is from "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" which was the FIRST EVER film I saw at the cinema back in 1973 when I was seven. My father took me to see it and there was a scene where Victoria Vetri and the male lead swim naked in a pool in a cave and you see EVERYTHING. My dad turned to me and said "If I'd known this was in it I might not have brought you". The film has been on TV loads of times but the nude scene has never been shown again. A couple of years ago I saw the film on YouTube but still no nude scene, bah.

  2. No, CJ, you are mistaken,
    factual spelling you've forsaken.
Although of Vicki you seem fond,
her hair in actual fact is blonde.

Blond for guys, blonde for gals, you see.

I've got photos from that movie of her in the buff - yowza!

  5. Evidently, the nude scene must have been cut out before it was released in the US. I saw it in a theater, and it must have had a "G" or "PG" rating. At the time (I was eleven or twelve), I would not have been allowed to go to an "adults only"-rated movie. And any frontal nudity would have meant at least an "R" (restricted) rating.

In fact, a DVD was released with a "G" rating, but it had to be recalled when they realized that it was the original, uncut version.

  6. It'll no doubt be changing hands for loads of dosh in some circles these days, TC.

  7. Kid, when I was writing my comment I thought it should be "blonde" but "blond" also seemed right - I honestly never knew it was spelt differently for male and female !

  8. Well, a guy's called a blond and a gal's called a blonde, so I assume it's the same talking about their hair as it is talking about them.

  9. I thought blond was the American spelling of blonde. Lol!

  10. It could also be, MD, but I don't suppose that both explanations are mutually exclusive.

  11. In American English, it may be "blond" as an adjective for the hair color, and "blonde" as a noun for the woman with that hair color. Victoria Vetri, Sybil Danning, and Shirley Eaton are all "blondes," because they have "blond" hair.

  12. That sounds entirely reasonable, TC. Let's cancel your elections and the U.S. can vote on this instead.
