DOUBLE VISION - SUPERMAN & CLARK KENT TOGETHER (UPDATED)...

You've got to hand it to DC - once they cop on to a good idea, they milk it for all it's worth and then some.  SUPERMAN and his alter ego CLARK KENT together on a comic mag's cover is a case in point.  Presumably, with whatever issue DC started doing it, it sold more than usual so, hey - let's do it again (and again, and again, etc.)!  So here's just a handful (if you've got more than 10 fingers) of Superman/Clark Kent covers to show all you pantin' Criv-ites just what I'm yappin' about.  (Okay, some of them are symbolic, but they still count in my book.)








And another five for your attention.  (Thank JP for two of them.)






And here's one where it's not actually meant to be Clark Kent, but,
as far as visual impact goes, it gives that impression at first glance.

    I loved DCs covers as a kid in the 60s and fell hook line and sinker for these type of covers every time - Action 406 is one of favourite comics (mostly for the back ups -Alex Toth) -

    Which one of the three I added was the one you were trying to link to, JP? Incidentally, there's already a cover gallery of Supes/Flash races on the blog. You commented on it at the time. (The old memory going, eh?)

    Neither of them work, JP. All I get is a white screen with the message 'See the original covers at www.comics.org' in the top left-hand corner.

    Kid, I sent a comment to this post last night, did you get it or has it vanished into the ether ? I used my tablet to make the comment and the same thing happened recently but I didn't mention it on that occasion. The only problem with your blog is that I don't know if a comment has arrived till you approve it (but a message always appears confirming it has arrived and it did last night too). I'm now using my laptop which (so far) has always sent my comments without any problems.

    There was an anonymous comment sent to one of the posts, CJ, but I delete all such comments unread. If you're sending a comment without signing in to your Google account, always affix your name at the end so I'll know who it's from.

    Kid, I'm always signed in to my Google account when sending comments and my two tablets are both permanently signed in (I don't know why, I'm not that tech savvy). When I sent the comment a message appeared saying "Your comment has been saved and will be published after blog owner approval" - if that message doesn't appear I know something's gone wrong but last night it did appear so I don't know where the comment went. It's got something to do with my tablets - sending comments from them can be quite difficult at times (to other blogs too, not just yours).

    Probably not, JP, because there's no attempt to give readers the visual impression (at a casual glance) that Clark and Supes are the same guy here. However, it's still interesting to see.

    I can see the flaw in Lex luthor playing Clark Kent - he's bald. Lois would notice that even with Lex wearing a hat.
