We're now halfway through The INCREDIBLE TRI-MAN's awesome adventures as far as page-count goes. You'll notice that the quality of reproduction is variable in places, as SMASH! was printed on cheap paper and sometimes the art was faded or smudged.
I've tidied them up as best I can without labouring too long over them, but at least they're readable and should serve to rekindle a few memories for all those who are old enough to have read these stories back in the day. (That means you, JP.)

Thanks, Kid, they're cleaned up nice enough for me! I kind of predicted it right and about Tri-Man getting the law after him! I'm now wondering who's going to be behind the mask(s)?

Given the similarities to Spider-Man, JP, it was a fairly obvious development I would've thought. Glad to know you're enjoying the strips - won't be long 'til you've got them all.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying reading this strip Kid - its a really good idea publishing a wee extract from a comic strip every now and then , after all its never going to be republished at any point. Errrr maybe one day we may see a few issues of "White Eyes" like this as well!?
ReplyDeleteMy view, PM, is that by keeping interest in the strip alive, if it were to be republished one day, more people would probably buy it because they'd seen it on a blog. Few people would buy it just for a casual read, it would be collectors buying it to have in a nice handy volume, because collectors are like that. Heck, I've got the original issues and even I'D buy it. As for 'White Eyes', who knows what the future will bring?!
ReplyDeleteI agree I think in moderation reprinting these strips is a good and positive thing, especially older less well known strips (sadly. lets be honest they are very unlikely to ever see print again) I have a few of the Tri-Man strips in my copies of Smash and I had all but forgotten about it so this has made me have another look at my old Smash comics
ReplyDeleteSadly, they're probably too dated-looking now for a modern audience, and the people who read them as kids are dwindling and dying as we speak. Potential buyers are getting fewer as the years go by, so if the copyright holders are going to exploit the strips, they need to get a move on.
