A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

I bet it takes you quite some time to get these into this condition too, Kidda!
ReplyDeleteLovely job, as always!
Thanks, JP, but I have a shocking confession to make. These strips aren't attracting too much interest going by the hits they get, so I've been giving them the bare minimum in smartening them up a bit. Except when there's a glaring need of course.
ReplyDeleteWell, they all look pretty smart to me! I guess you have to be of an age that remembers the Power comics the first time around to be interested in the none-Marvel strips!
ReplyDeleteAlas, I think we're a dying breed, JP.
ReplyDeletePoor Don Starr. I don't recall him at all. I do recall the old Bobby helmets. Dixon of Dock Green anyone? I wonder if he ever had a comic.
ReplyDeleteDixon had a strip in Swift comic, Phil, which was a companion to Eagle.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember a story called Johnny Future that was in this comic?
ReplyDeleteJohnny Future was in Fantastic, not Terrific, SD - and the complete run of JF is on this very blog, along with its earlier Missing Link strips.
ReplyDeleteJohnny Future has a great costume.
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing these treats on my FB page to try drumming up some interest. But the rest of the comics people in my writers group are so damned young!
Interestingly, the symbol on his costume was added by editorial, OD - it wasn't part of artist Luis Bermejo's design. There's an interesting 'origin' behind The Missing Link/JF in my post called 'Superman's Dad - Part Two Of Johnny Future'.
