BABE OF THE DAY - PENELOPE CRUZ...



When I was a boy and regularly buying
TV21, I thought LADY PENELOPE's name
was pronounced 'Pen-eh-loap' - was I ignorant
or what?  One thing I do know, however, is that
this Penelope is most definitely a lady.  (Wrap
 her up nicely now - I'll take her with me.)

    I thought Lady Penelope's name was pronounced exactly the same as you, so don't feel too bad!
    There; therapy at no charge!

    She appeared in her own strip in TV21 before Thunderbirds was shown on telly, so I'd imagine we weren't the only ones who mispronounced her name, MC. Once I heard Jeff Tracy say it, I adopted the correct way.
