Is this the new epic color collection? I want the whole Kirby run and the Roy Thomas stories too.
ReplyDeleteNope, this is a hardback, one-off collection of a 12 issue limited series. Click on the images to enlarge, Phil, then click again for optimum size. Then you can read what it's all about on the back.
ReplyDeleteOh interesting. When was this originally published? I don't recall it at all.
ReplyDelete2001, Phil. (Staggering, as, off the top of my head, I'd have said 3 or 4 years back. Wow!)
ReplyDeleteIs this the book with Bruce Timm art in it etc if so I thought this original comic series was from about 2011 as well- scary
ReplyDeleteThe very one, McS. I've just reread the book and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I bought and read the original issues at the time, but I don't recall being overwhelmed by it, so it was better second time around. A nice tribute to Stan & Jack. Did you get any Marvel books for Christmas?
ReplyDeleteYes I got the Silver Surfer and Frankenstein Epic editions and a Marvel "history" book (from W H Smiths which was really good) I stil have some Christmans money to spend and I think I might get the Guardans one with that.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget - the Howard The Duck book is also very nice. Well worth having.
