DON'T GET ON MY NERVS - PART ONE...

Copyright REBELLION

From the first combined issue of SMASH! & POW! (#137), September 14th 1968, comes The NERVS by the late KEN REID.  Every U.K. comics reader of a certain age knows who Ken is, and recognises his immense stature and prominent position in the pantheon of great British cartoonists and illustrators.  If you're a 'newbie' who is unfamiliar with Ken's work, before you now lies the joy of discovery of something truly precious.  Enjoy!

  1. The Nerves is my favourite Ken Reid strip, it really gives his imagination legs. He had a great knack of combining expression with detail and he was one of the best at using blacks.

  2. I used to have a page of Nervs original art at one time. Ol' Ken was sure some artist.

  3. Even though Ken's art is far superior, I still prefer the (original) Numbskulls to the Nerves.

  4. That's interesting, JP. Sometimes, perhaps, simplicity has the edge.
