A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

I think she was Jet (whoo-oo-oo
ReplyDeleteOooo-oo-oo!)
And if you were hanging on a loop tied on the end of a rope, she would swing along on her rope and wrap her powerful legs around you and you'd both tumble to the ground, her legs still firmly wrapped around you and she would be on top of you and she'd pin you to the ground and her........
Or so I've heard?
Hey, I'd sure volunteer for that. Purely in the interests of 'scientific research' of course.
ReplyDeleteJet... dear Jet(sigh)I was on the cusp of my teenage years when Gladiators started so naturally I knew who she was...
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd known who she was back then, AJ - she's a total darlin'. I only discovered her recently when she appeared on an episode of Celebrity Pointless.(Or is it Pointless Celebrities? I can never remember.)
ReplyDeleteYes that’s right, ‘Pointless Celebrity Pointless’ ;) I recall the build-up to the first series of Gladiators, Look-In pullout posters and appearances on numerous shows and I was taken by Panther at first but Jet bless her soon became my favourite. That and all joking aside I rather liked the show and look back at it with fondness. It was the only ‘sport’ ‘event’ I ever enjoyed watching. I was a regular visitor to Birmingham in the mid to late 90’s and always regret not attending one of the torments at the NEC. Happy Easter to you Kid :)
ReplyDeleteAnd a happy Easter to you, AJ. I've scoffed all my eggs already.
