2000TH POST - DENNIS THE MENACE...

Wow!  2000 posts!  (2000 too many, some might say.)  So, as a special treat, here are five DENNIS The MENACE strips from the very first DTM book, published in 1955 (for '56).  These pages are drawn by DAVEY LAW, who was the regular Dennis artist in The BEANO until his death in 1971.

I'm sure they'll provide a chuckle or two as you sup a glass of lemonade in celebration of CRIVENS! reaching its 2000th 'issue'.  Here's to the next 2000!  (And the 2000 after that.)

  12. Thanks for sharing. I've been looking online for these great early Dennis strips, do you know if they're available in a collected edition?

  13. There was a Beano & Dandy book in 2011 that reprinted quite a few Dennis strips, in celebration of 60 years of menacing. You should be able to track one down on eBay or direct from D.C. Thomson. There was another Dennis book 10 years before, celebrating 50 years, which is also worth having. Type 'Dennis the Menace' into the Blogger search box at the top left-hand corner of my home page, go through the results, and you should see a picture of it in one of my posts.
