A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Like in that Billy Joel song - "Upton Girl".
ReplyDeleteYou made a funny, CJ? Are you ill?
ReplyDeleteKid, that reminds me of a Les Dawson sketch where he tells the audience that some old dear is celebrating her one hundred and eleventh birthday - the audience claps and then somebody comes on and whispers in his ear - Les then says "Ladies and gentlemen I apologise, she's not 111 - she's ill". My father couldn't stand Les Dawson which baffled me as I thought he was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI liked some of his monologues, but found his piano-playing antics boring. I think he was an Opportunity Knocks winner, if I recall correctly.
ReplyDeleteWell, I loved his Mother-in-Law jokes - "I know when my Mother-in-Law is coming to visit because the mice are throwing themselves on the traps" or "My Mother-in-Law's favourite record is an LP of Hitler's speeches". Amazingly, this is now considered offensive. Sigh...
