ReplyDeleteAs drawn by Jim Mooney, she is at once convincingly a teenager and a superhero. Now that I'm older that sounds totally creepy, but back when I was a young lad, not so much.
Bob Oksner was really good at drawing her too.
Many later artists have sexed her up too much, making her a caricature and less credible as a person and a heroine.
Rip Off
Last time I saw a picture of a Supergirl comic, her uniform was little more than a blue bra and a red thong! Dear, oh dear, what has the world come to?

Last time I saw her, JP, she was supposed to be dead. That's why I no longer buy DC comics (except for back numbers or classic reprints) - I just never have a clue what's going on.
