A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

Beautiful Lawrence artwork - and Vulcan came along at a convenient time, chockful of strips I knew were old, but had never seen before. Trigan Empire was the main selling point, obviously, but I also had a soft spot for the House Of Dolmann....talk about multiple personality disorder!
ReplyDeleteNice art indeed, Kid, but I've got to say that they're not the most threatening creatures I've ever seen; they seem almost puppy-like. 'Glaikit' was the word that sprang to mind when I took a look at the mugs on them.
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice little comic. BS - wish I still had them all. I remember being fascinated by the first episode of the Trigan Empire.

Yeah, but look at the size of them, GB. Last thing you want is one of them sitting on your head, glaikit or not. They remind me of Dino from the Flinstones.
I recognised the first pic.
ReplyDeleteUntil I saw the second.
I had that annual and this is the art I am familiar with.
But I accepted the first.
oh my,just the mind playing tricks.
Funny ol' thing, the mind, eh?
