A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

I wouldn't object should you wish to show us ALL the Marvel Starburst covers!
ReplyDeleteThey are in the right order now - I wasn't complaining,I just thought I'd mention it. Whenever I visit this blog I always seem to spend ages reading your old posts - I've just been reading your epic ding-dong with various anonymous commenters from November 2012 over The Dandy. I can see now why you don't have anonymous comments anymore - I wouldn't fancy going through that everyday! By the way, I totally agree that Tracey Emin is sh*te - how these people get away with it is beyond me!
ReplyDeleteI only have the first two years in an unbroken run, JP, and occasional issues after that. Don't worry 'though - I'm sure to have something to pique your interest.

Didn't think you were complaining for a second, Col. In fact, I'm glad you mentioned it. As for those comments you refer to - they didn't bother me one bit. It was comments relating to what was happening on a comics forum I was briefly a member of - they didn't even pertain to what was on my blog.
Good to see some of these again, although that might be the most boring image I've ever seen from an Alien film.
ReplyDeleteAbout Buck Rogers, Kid: I'm convinced that I saw it at a cinema in Paisley, but others know it only as a TV show. Am I getting it mixed up with something else or was it released as a film in the UK?
Without checking, GB, I think it was the pilot episode (perhaps with extra footage, but it may have been movie-length to start with) that was shown in cinemas over here, so you doubtless did see it on the big screen.
ReplyDeleteGey, you are correct there was indeed a Buck Rogers made for TV movie that was released in 1979 in cinemas (quite successful) . As Kid says it was the same as the TV movie with a few exrtas -the success of this prompted the TV series.
ReplyDeleteThe second series/season of Buck Rogers always seems to get a bad name (the one with Hawk and Wilfred Hyde-White) but it seemed okay to me - I could have done without that annoying little robot,Twiki, though.
ReplyDeleteThe robot was okay - anyway, I only watched it for the fit burd.
