A cascading cornucopia of cool comics, crazy cartoons, & classic collectables - plus other completely captivating & occasionally controversial contents. With nostalgic notions, sentimental sighings, wistful wonderings, remorseful ruminations, melancholy musings, rueful reflections, poignant ponderings, & yearnings for yesteryear. (And a few profound perplexities, puzzling paradoxes, & a bevy of big, beautiful, bedazzling, buxom Babes to round it all off.)

I picked up the new US FF regular title ( rebooted from #1), it's ok nice modern US manga style art by Humberto Ramos ( I like his art but I know others don't)but it's not Kirby)Lee or Thomas//Buscema.
ReplyDeleteIs the Panini FF all reprint from modern comics?
I'm currently awaiting delivery of various FF titles, McS, and the one you mention may be among them. The Panini mag reprints a couple of tales from Fantastic Four #s 4 & 5, published in 2022. They have that upper & lower case lettering which I dislike, as it reminds me of the ltg in UK nursery titles.
DeleteSo the Panini Marvel comics aren't called "Collector's Edition" anymore? I never liked that name anyway.
ReplyDeleteThey were never called Collector's Editions, CJ, they were called Collectors' Editions. And you're not a collector.
DeleteDid you know there's a new Red Sonja film coming out, Kid? The trailer is on YouTube if you're interested.
ReplyDeleteNope, didn't know, CJ, I'll take a look.
DeleteI've just seen your comment on The Power Of The Bee Sting blog, Kid, but don't expect a reply as he rarely gives one. Did you find the review of POTA #8 in which your name is mentioned as one of the letter-writers?
ReplyDeleteNever looked for it (my name), CJ, but I may do so at a later date. It's quite a good site, but his spelling, grammar, and punctuation could be a lot better, in my ever-humble estimation.
DeleteI only discovered the Bee-Sting blog earlier this year thanks to Steve of Steve Does Comics mentioning it and if I'd been reading Bee-Sting when POTA #8 was reviewed I'd have left a comment saying that Gordon Ian Robson from the letters page was now the creator and esteemed host of the Crivens blog.
ReplyDelete'Esteemed'? I think there's a few people who would dispute that, CJ. And had you left a comment, you could've said 'and freelanced for IPC/Fleetway Magazines and Marvel UK and US back in the '80s & '90s'.
