A NOBEL CAUSE...

You'll no doubt recall me reminiscing recently about the NOBEL 200 car that my parents had back in the 1960s.  Well, I miss it so much that I decided to buy one - so here it is.

(Okay, so it's only a 1.43 scale model, but it's all I could get.)

This is actually a more stable platform than the famous Reliant Robin. One of my old teachers had a Robin and we were fascinated by it.

My father had several Reliant Robins after the Nobel, Phil. I'm sure you've heard the old joke - "What's the difference between a Reliant Robin and a sheep?" "It's less embarrassing being seen getting out the back of a sheep!"

Are these the ones that were referred to as "Bubble Cars"? Think I remember my mum telling me that my grandad had one of those, long before I was born...

I've sometimes seen them referred to as Bubble cars, THB, but I don't think they really were because of the shape of the front. Anyone know for sure?

I think the bubble cars were the BMW Isetta and Messerschmidt which opened via the front .

Yup, that was the difference, so I think you're right, Phil.
